I've just gotten back from the post office: there's a couple of people who still haven't filled out their surveys, but the rest of you have just had your copies of TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION Vol 2: LIGHTS IN THE DARKNESS (plus whatever add-ons you picked) mailed off. Keep an eye on your mailboxes! And, as always, let me know if there are any problems.

At last!

The current plan is to get the books out next week. I have to calculate the weight of the packages, buy the postage, sign and assemble the shipments, and get them out to the post office. All straightforward enough, but time consuming. But once they're ready, they're absolutely going out the door with all due speed. And then you'll get them!

The books have achieved their final print form, and are being printed even as we speak. TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION Vol 2: LIGHTS IN THE DARKNESS will show up on my doorstep a couple of days into September, and I plan to start the process of getting them out the door as soon as possible. Accordingly, I will be locking orders by the first of September. Now is the time to adjust your pledges! Now is also the time to hit the pre-order store!

You should have already gotten an email with links to your e-book (EPUB, PDF, and legacy MOBI formats) and associated art (the story sampler will follow at a later date). If you have any problems with accessing your book, let me know.

Now that the Kickstarter digital rewards have been distributed, I can get on with making the Kindle and physical versions. This is a matter of formatting, and proofing in the case of the paperback edition. We're on schedule, so enjoy the stories!

Kickstarter backers will get their digital copies of TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION, Vol 2: LIGHTS IN THE DARKNESS as soon as we're finished with the typo pass-through, which hopefully will not be very much longer (there's also some formatting that needs to be done). It won't be today or tomorrow, but I think by the end of next week should be a generous deadline. The book will be available for wider sale on Kindle on September 1st, 2024. Use this link to let people know about the upcoming Kindle release!

Getting the print version out will take longer than the digital one, because I have to do a proof, get the manuscript approve, and actually order print copies. I will be doing all of this simultaneously while I'm prepping the digital version, so it hopefully won't take much longer - but it's very much a 'God willing, and the creek don't rise' situation. Everything's going fine on my end, but in the end it's up to the publisher to get me the books. I will keep people posted.
